Queen drummer Roger Taylor has released an animated video for his new single, "Isolation".

In an interview with BBC Radio 6 Music , the artist stated that, as the song title suggests, he was inspired to reflect on isolation amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The song was written in Cornwall, in a shed that Taylor calls his "garden room".

“There’s a certain frustration in not knowing what’s going to happen,” the drummer confided. “It was a frustration mixed with a bit of anxiety behind it all, so I just thought I could write a song to get through the day, the routine in isolation. It’s something we’re not used to. It’s a direct reflection of how I was feeling at the time.”
